The mission of the Asbury Park African-American Music Project Inc. is to share the music, cultural heritage, and stories of Springwood Avenue in Asbury Park; develop accessible resources that reflect the African-American music heritage of the City; address a lack of representation in traditional historic resources; and engage all in the active exploration, interpretation, understanding, and preservation of the City’s African-American heritage.
